Barcelona Boat Show
Ventura Yachts presented 11 yachts in total
at this year’s Barcelona Boat Show. This years show
line up included models from Pershing, Ferretti
Yachts, Mochi Craft, Custom
Line, and Bertram.
   
The spectacular models
on show from Pershing were
the 56, 64, 76 and 90. The 64 is
a new model, and carries many innovative features, as well having
a very stylish design, both inside and out.
The Ferretti
Yachts, always at the forefront
of yacht design and technology, whilst retaining their timeless
elegance, included the 630, 731 and Altura
840. The Altura 840 is a new
model shown for the first time in Spain at this show. It
is a new concept in yachting, introducing huge open main deck
saloon, comfortable external areas, and an impressive bow lounging/seating/dining
area with automatic parasol.
From Mochi Craft,
Ventura Yachts exhibited the Dolphin 51, another
idea in boating designed to bring you closer to the water, and
to navigate rapidly and securely thanks to its well proven hull
form.
From the Custom Line range, the 97 and Navetta
33 were on show. They are of similar size, but
very different concepts and styles. These yachts proved
a big attraction for the guests at the show.
The Bertram
570 was also on show. The
only brand from the Ferretti Group not based
in Italy, these boats live up to the Ferretti Group name
for quality, and renowned in their own right as one of the best
sports fishing boats on the market.
Genova Boat Show
Ventura Yachts were present at the 2008
Genova boat show at the evermore impressive stand of the
Ferretti Group. On show were around 50 models from the Ferretti
Group which covered most of the ranges, including some exciting
new yachts.
   
One of the most excitedly awaited new models was
the Mochi Craft Long Range 23, which introduced many new
features not seen before in the pleasure boat market. The
layout introduced a new concept in yachting, designed for
long periods of time spent aboard. The open plan main deck
gives a huge amount of space, joining together a large saloon,
dining area, galley, and dinette. This leads on to a large
foredeck with a zone for lounging, dining or sunbathing.
There is a pilot house on a higher deck with additional seating
and great views.
This model incorporates a new trans planning
FER.WEY (Ferretti wave efficient yacht) hull. This new hull
form offers owners a stable longitudinal attitude, allowing
owners and guests to move around the boat in comfort with
no marked change in attitude at various speeds. The FER.WEY
hull also reduces efficiency by reducing wave forming drag.
Finally, this hull form also gives a significant reduction
of rolling.
The Mochi Craft Long Range 23 also has the option
of Hybrid propulsion, which can operate with its bank of
batteries in a Zero Emission Mode (ZEM). This could be very
nice the next time you are pulling in to an idyllic cove.
With these technical innovations, the Mochi Craft Long Range
23 became the first yacht to be awarded the RINA ‘Green
Star Clean Energy and Clean Propulsion’ certificate.
Also
showing for the first time was the new Ferretti 470. An entry
level yacht, with excellent quality of build (as all Ferretti
Yachts) and a wonderfully social layout that also incorporates
large windows for great visibility.
Ferretti also launched a revision
of the 630 model, in form of the new 631, with some updated
looks, and a new radar arch.

Cannes Boat
Show
As always a great location for a boat show. The weather
was great, and most of the models from the Ferretti Group ranges
were available to view and to sea trial. 11 new models
were shown by the group as a whole.
Pershing Sea Show
To mark the launch of two new models in the Pershing fleet, Ventura
Yachts, together with Pershing held a special event in Palma
de Mallorca. The
new models being presented were the 64 and 80. Both these
models are full of innovations and couple stunning design with
excillerating performance.
To mark the event, a gala evening was held in the Mood club,
close to Puerto Portals, with a special appearance by one of
the stars of the event, the Pershing 80. Sea trials were
held over 2 days for these and other models from the Pershing
range, in the Marina Port de Mallorca in Palma.
   
Ventura Yachts Summer Party
Ventura
Yachts once again celebrated their annual summer party, with
clients and friends, in Palma de Mallorca. An enchanted
evening was had by all in the wonderful surroundings of the
Pueblo Español en Palma - beautiful evening with great
food and acrobatics.
The next day clients came by boat to enjoy
great hospitality at the Virtual Club in Illetas. Everyone
enjoyed a great lunch, and a swim in this lovely location.
  
Ferretti Privilege Days
This
year Ferretti celebrated their annual ‘Privilege
Days’ event in Cattolica, in Italy, close to the origins
of the brand. This was to mark the 40th Anniversary of
Ferretti Yachts and their impact on this sector of the market. In
their 40 years, Ferretti Yachts has been at the forefront of
innovation and quality of design, build and sea keeping in this
sector of the market. By showing the complete range in
their fleet of Ferretti, Mochi Craft and Custom Line yachts,
it is easy to see that they are planning to stay ahead of the
game in the years to come.
 
Palma Boat
Show
An impressive line up of boats were presented by against the
beautiful back drop of Palma de Mallorca. The models on
show were the 46, 50, 56 and 90 from Pershing along with the
Ferretti 630 and Mochi Craft 51.
Madrid Boat Show
Ventura
Yachts presented The Mochi Craft Dolphin 51 and Pershing 50 at
this boat show in the centre of Madrid. These
two very different styles of boat, both shipyards from the
Ferretti Group represent the top of their markets in terms
of quality, design and sea handling.
 
London Boat Show
 Ventura
Yachts were present at the 2008 London Boat show with their
UK partners, Ventura UK. Ventura Presented the
Pershing 56 and Ferretti 510, with both models generating lots
of interest from the public.
